Am I seeing things

or was that actually a pheasant walking around down by the pond? And just as I was watching the bit of Lost in Austen that has people shooting pheasants...

I better not be seeing things. I mean, I've just finished with laser surgery and everything and officially don't need glasses anymore, so I better not be seeing things (I'm not, for the record - I have a witness, but still - a pheasant? What the hell is a pheasant doing down by the pond? I mean, ducks and coots and herons, yes, and once in a rare while a swan, hell, even a confused cormorant once, but a pheasant?)

Speaking of not needing glasses anymore - I wonder how long it's going to be before I stop noticing not needing glasses anymore at odd moments.

I see pheasants around here from time to time - maybe one of them took a daytrip to Denmark and means to get drunk?
