Eurovision babbling...

And Denmark made it through to the finale - don't ask me why. Personally, I preferred last year's song and that never made it past the semifinale. This year's offering just made me feel somewhat embarrassed to be a Dane.

Also the country I voted for - I fell for the drumming grandmother, I admit it - Moldova - they made it through. And also Norway and Romania, two other of the songs I liked. The fifth song I liked was Poland's offering, but apparently this was not a continent-wide feeling - still, four out of the five songs I wanted to make it through tonight, did - that's not bad.

I'm SO looking forward to seeing this drumming grandmother now I've heard about it

It was a very fun episode, to be sure - a very lively young pop/rock band, and then the lead singer introduces this little old lady with a big drum, saying: "This is my grandmother." - quite appropriate, since the song was called something along the lines of "Grandmother bangs the drum".

Norway is not to be missed either, though - two words: glam rock. :-)

I think Norway was awesome, quite clearly the best in bunch.
Moldova was nice too- but Finland? Oh my, that song was awful...
But we'll see who wins

I think Norway has a pretty good chance, since it is quite different from your usual Eurovision songs. Appeals to a very different crowd, since it is pure rock. But yes, we'll see, come Saturday we'll see.
