Christian Valdemar Henri John.

Considerably better than Felix...

Well, yes, Frederik was last time. ;)
But I don't know if Valdemar is such a good name...

Hee. I know.

An English friend of mine read Valdemar as Voldemort. :D

I'm also liking very much that they went with Prins Henrik's original spelling, rather than the Danish version.

OMG Voldemort! Hah! You're right! I have an uncle Valdemar so it's not so strange to me. I like John, though. He'll be our Johnny boy!

What's wrong with Valdemar? Good, old, traditional Danish king's name - we've had several King Valdemars (including one the Great and another who got the Danish flag coming down to him from above). So what is the problem? I think it's a fine name.

Prince Voldemort, heir to the throne - now that would probably have caught people's attention. :-)

Thats a top name. You watch, there will be a million boys being called Christian in Australia now!

The problem is that I read Voldemort, too. Even though I'm not in the HP fandom and haven't read the books/seen the movies. People have heard of him. And the likeness of the names is kind of frightening.

In German, we have a similar name, Waldemar (though it's very old-fashioned), and I think that since it doesn't start with a V, there's not such a big chance that it's misread...
