Well, it might not quite have been worth getting laser surgery and waiting in line for nearly an hour, but the view was awesome :-) (and if the line had just been a little shorter later that evening I might have seen it post-sunset with all the lights on, too - maybe next time.)

Also, on a completely and utterly unrelated note, what amuses me most about the possibly-a-stone-age-dildo they've found in Sweden, is the thought that Jean M. Auel tends to incorporate actual archaeological finds in her works and lets her dear heroine invent pretty much everything that side of the steam engine - I wonder if the next novel will feature a bit where hero and heroine gets seperated and the heroine feels particularly - lonely (considering most of that series, it wouldn't exactly be out of place...)

Why yes, I had questionable taste as a twelve-year-old. Why did you want to know? Anyway, was actually busy reading Vorkosigan novels...

Have investigated and must repeat my conclusions that visits to the dentist remain more unpleasant than having part of your cornea burnt out with laser. Which really says it all...

Also, I find it ironic that Canada doesn't have snow while Denmark for one times sake has enough that I suspect we could have hosted the Olympics on the weather side of things for once...

I am sitting in front of my computer without glasses and I can read just fine. I was walking around at a mall earlier today - no glasses. I look in the mirror and it doesn't really look like me. Will probably still need a pair of glasses, once the eyes have settled enough for a proper pair to be made, but until then I think I'll manage just fine. And I am definitely going to Tivoli this summer :-)

Mind you, I can't wait for monday. Already tired of the bandage contact...

Second laser surgery is tomorrow evening. Admittedly, not looking forward to the experience in itself, but afterwards!!! (I have yet to stop being thrilled by being able to actually read without glasses on with the eye that has been operated, even if isn't perfect).

Fingers crossed for it going well again? It has to. But even with just the left eye working, I'll definitely be going to Tivoli next summer. There is an 80 metres tall carousel I've been promising myself a ride on.

Second round of laser surgery finally has a date.

Tuesday I went to have surgery on my left eye. It was myopic - something like -7.5 (can't remember exactly). Wednesday I went to post-op check-up. Eye is now rougly +0.75. Thursday I was sore. Friday and onwards there is only mild annoyance stemming from the fact that I can't get away with rubbing at what feels like grit. Ah well.

All in all, it is good. Right, getting the band-aid contact lense out tomorrow and then we'll have to see how long I'll have to wait for second round of surgery.

Also, I managed to catch a new red egg (which hopefully won't die) and a new split egg (think macho thoughts towards it please). Which pretty much means I've gotten the various common types. Have tried repeatedly to catch something interesting, but everytime some nice egg appears, it's gone just like that. Mad refreshing and clicking before looking has landed me with skywing egg I don't actually want... anybody want a skywing dragon egg?

Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today!  Adopt one today!  Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today!

Maybe I should look into the possibility of getting eggs from others instead of this random failure...

ETA: Ha. I caught a silver egg. Adopt one today!

Forgive me if I am a bit nervous, but since I am going to go to a clinic tonight and have a laser carve out a fair-sized portion of the cornea on my left eye, I think I'm kind of entitled.

Do you know what would be nice? If, when my eye is, well, done, that there will be something new for it too see, like say, some development with my dragons...

*hint* Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! *hint*

Right. Now, what is that expression - oh yes.

Catch you on the flip side. (even if I suppose technically the flip side is after the second round of LASEK takes care of the right eye as well, but, well, whatever...)
