Let's see... I think I want the Eddas (both of them) and the Icelandic sagas. But I think I should probably be a good girl and wait until time comes round for my next birthday. After all, I can always loan them at the library...

(And yes, I know I can probably  find them online (well, in the Eddas cases certainly, because I already have), but there is just something about an actual physical book...)

Anyway, doesn't anyone want to play with me? :-(

Vanggaards (Clausens efterfølger) in Aarhus has a gorgeous old 3-volume copy of the Icelandic Sagas for 1800kr. They could probably arrange payment over the phone and ship to you. I've drooled over them a couple times, mostly as a present for a history-nut friend who loves old books. I can get more details on them if you like, although if you go to Vanggaards in Copenhagen, they might have them listed in their current catalog.
