I blame my occasional watching of Hercules and Xena re-runs for the fact, that I am by now completely and utterly convinced that the Kraken is in fact little Obie, youngest son of Echidna, all grown up, and that the best way of handling it would have been to tell it something along the lines of: "Shame on you! What would your mother say?" in a stern voice.

I'm weird.
