Christmas Eve was all about good food, family and presents, of course. Which reminds me, could someone please explain to me why so many people seem to have such a strange habit of waiting with presents until the next day. It sounds like such a weird idea to me. Why would anybody want to do that?

Ah well, enough wondering about strange habits... after all, it's still Christmas. Which is nice. And there has been presents. Nice presents.

Rogue's Gallery: Pirate Songs, Sea Ballads and Chanteys
Terry Pratchett: Wintersmith
Naomi Novik: Temeraire - Throne of Jade (and that's excellent timing, if you ask me)
Mirrormask on dvd
Life on Mars series one
Some Trip Trap Nisser (can't imagine why, though - I never actually wish for any, but they just seem to appear)
And some other nice stuff

A perfectly fine haul of loot, if you ask me. + people liked the presents they got from me, so all is good.

And now for something completely different - why can't Danish television make anything decent by way of series? They haven't done anything really good since around 1980. That's just embarrasing, if you ask me. And yet in Sweden, for instance, they make fine stuff - just watched the first part of a mini-series called Snapphanar, and it looks pretty good. Of course, I might just be enjoying the 17th century setting, but, well, I don't know.
