So, I'm going to be bird-and-apartment-sitting for my sister for most of this week. Which means that, since I have internet access, but not access to my own computer, I won't be doing any backing up and creating extra journals in a flurry of panic, even though it seems to be what all the cool kids are doing these days. Maybe later. Besides, I'm not sure I've made anything that the current round of censorship can be aimed at, though you never know...

It's a nice apartment, though. I'm within walking distance of Frilandsmuseet and a brief trip by train from Bakken, and the weather is supposed to stay good for the next few days, so we'll see.

What kind of birds are you looking after? I used to have an aviary and miss it a lot sometimes.

It's just the one bird, a cockatiel (according to the nice internet - I didn't know the English word before). Crazy old punker bird with a truly impressive ability to make noise when he so pleases...

My cousin in South Africa has a parrot - an African Grey - who has been in the family for years and is a bit nuts. Although he's perfectly healthy otherwise, he's pulled out most of the feathers on his body so he's affectionately known as Oven-Ready Oscar. I only kept Zebra Finches myself - cute and very little trouble to look after.
