(no subject)

Have you ever tried to see a word as if for the first time? I mean, really see it. I'm not talking about seeing/reading a word for the actual first time (which usually only really happens with foreign languages anyway), but a word that you have read before, that has gone in through one eye and out of the other, through your brain, not really registering. A word that has not had more meaning than the dictionary says, a word that you have known and not cared about for so long that you cannot remember when you had not yet heard it. And then you chance upon it one day and suddenly you really see it, you actually see the shape all those pretty letters form - and something snaps and suddenly it makes a whole new (and probably extremely unintentional) kind of sense to you. Possible reactions might then include excessive giggling...
