Friendly neighbourhood serial killer

Television has finally gotten around to showing the second season of Dexter. Three episodes in and I'm enjoying it. But then, I'm rather fond of Dexter - he's like the twisted bastard love child of Jim Profit from Profit and Jarod from The Pretender. How could I not love him?

Although I have to say, this is one case were I hope the series won't be to close to the books - the first book is good, but the second is kind of blah and don't even get me started on the third...

Question: do you think I should sign up for Yuletide? I've been considering it and I suppose it could be fun (as well as a chance to expand my writing away from just PotC, since I doubt that qualifies as a minor fandom, although I haven't actually checked) - on the other hand, there will be (hopefully sooner rather than later) a situation with my eyes and glasses, but I think it will be minor...
