Questions curtesy of [livejournal.com profile] ximeria - and yes, I should have gotten around to answering them before now...

1. Do you think there should be more fanfic in Danish? And through that, should we have an archive for it (unless there already is one in which case, how'd I miss that?)
I am - kind of ambivalent, actually. I mean, most of the Danish fanfic I've seen have come across like something written by teenagers, and I suspect any archive would drown in it (speaking of archives, I've come across a couple of wannabe-archives/message-boards for specific fandoms, nothing more). Don't get me wrong, I've had a couple of fics that wanted to be written in Danish, but, well, it would be awesome with more good fic in Danish, but I just don't see it happening. The fact that the reading public would be extremely limited, most fans pic fandom first and language a distant second, and the simple fact that most Danes with fanfic-tendencies doesn't exactly have a problem with English makes it unlikely. Also, and this might sound a little strange, but even if I have written a couple of fics in Danish, then most of the time it simply sounds (reads?) wrong in Danish - like synchronization, if you know what I mean?

2. What's your favourite Christmas tune, and least favourite as well? Do you even LIKE Christmas tunes?
Oh, I like Christmas tunes - old and newer - and this christmas my favourite has pretty much been MC Einar's Jul Det' Cool. On the other hand, I have a deep and abiding hate of that Gnags' song with the mice in the milk bucket...

3. What bugs you the most when it comes to people's 'prejudices' (if you can call it that, maybe assumptions is a better word) when it comes to Danes?
That we're a nation of leggy blondes? Nah. I used to joke that I disliked the fact that most foreigners thought Denmark was the capital of Stockholm, but honestly, these days I'm just annoyed that any given thing said or done by any Dane is immediately taken for the gospel truth about every Dane, since some people apparently have a problem understanding the concept of freedom of speech - seriously, I share a country with idiots like Moses Hansen and Jonni Hansen, not to mention the queen bitch and her harem. These days, I'm downright nostalgic for the capital of Stockholm days...

4. What was your first fandom (and which one is your favourite to this date)?
I can't remember the first I read in, but the first I wrote in was Pirates of the Caribbean, and even if the sequel movies are crap and crappier, it actually remains my favourite - not least because of the extremely nice, fun and brilliant people in it, and the nice, laid-back attitude. Welcome to the Caribbean, luv :-)

5. Do you play an instrument? If yes, which one?
Nope, never learned - though I think it would be awesome to be able to play the violin. Maybe some day.
