7. The Walking Dead season 1.
Okay, so I was hesitating a bit before getting around to this series, since I'm not really that big a fan of gore and gross-out horror - fortunately, it's not actually that bad as far as that goes. And I enjoy it, so far. It reminds me of Survivors, the British series, except with less people and (of course) a lot more zombies. And I enjoy, that while there are friction, then so far, in this season? People work together. They argue, they fight, but at the end of the day, they help each other - and we haven't so far really encountered anyone not realizing, that this is necessary. I like that. I tend to want to shout at people being that stupid in tv series, wasting time and effort on pointless internal strife when oh, by the way, we're all going to die if we don't work together. Makes a nice change. Also, so far, I like the changes made compared to the comics - and speaking of the comics, I recently read the 12th of the books and I wonder how many more changes will happen. Who will live, who will die. Who will we meet - Michonne? And I have a vague suspicions that the tv show will end long before catching up with the comics - they take a lot more time to tell the story, or maybe it just feels that way, because it's faster to read a comic than to watch a tv show? Still, from what I have read, they haven't even gotten to the jail yet. But, you know, I think I'll enjoy following this motley crew for as far as the road goes.

8. Eternal Law season 1.
I liked this series well enough - I mean, it's not amazing, and seriously, the special effects are terrible (but if that was to stop me watching stuff, I'd never have seen Being Human, either), but it's okay. I like Tom the naive new angel on Earth, and Richard the demon lawyer is interesting, although I hope they develop some sort of motivation for him, as wanting to destroy the world/have Mr. Mountjoy destroy seems a trifle - well, unwise when you are in the world? Apart from that, well, one character I haven't even seen and is thus far not liking would be Mr. Mountjoy - I mean, create a sentient being capable of love for a human, then forbid them from acting on it or else the world will end? How fucked up is that? How cruel is that? Just asking...

9. Valemont
It's only after I watched this (as a rented dvd) that I found out it wasn't a movie, but a net-series with episodes of 2-3 minutes duration - which explains quite a lot, it having felt at once disjointed, as if the editing was more akin to something trying to make its viewer thing of a dream world a la Inception, and rushed, plot running forward without much exploration. I think if I had watched it as it was shown, I might have enjoyed it more - as it is, it reminded me of Rachel Caine's Morganville, only less sinister, with it's secretly-a-vampire-college and a heroine newcomer discovering the truth. It's an alright series and an interesting world, but still - it feels like it could have born a little more time, a little more fleshing out.

10. The Artist
Quite a lovely movie, actually - a tad bit too melodramatic, but then again, it's a silent movie and the ones I've seen had a tendency towards melodrama, so it fits. I find it slightly ironic, though, that while we do eventually get to hear the voice of our silent movie star, then we never did get to hear the young female talkie star, did we? I don't think so. Kind of ironic, that.

11. Burke and Hare
I wonder what it is about 19th century bodysnatching that makes comedies about it turn out not particularly funny...

12. Chaplin
Probably not going to end up as my favourite Robert Downey Jr. movie, but quite interesting all the same. I really should get around to watching some more of Chaplin's movies some day...

Tendency? You must've seen the best ones - when I think of silent movies, I think of melodrama, *g*.

Yes, I'm reading your words the right way now - my bad for taking them too literally :)
