I dislike reccing things. It's not that I don't find things awesome, fantastic, rec-worthy. I do. What I don't is trust my own judgment. Not really. Not with recs, not with my writing, not with most things. I keep waiting for somebody to point out how atrocious/horrible/crappy it is, whatever it is. And isn't this just pathetic, writing a post about that. *rolls eyes at self*

Apart from when I recs things with cavaets, I always think the things I rec are the best things ever, and find it very hard to comprehend that everyone doesn't feel the same way O_O

But... recs are always personal. YMMV! I don't think anyone is expecting you to rec the objectively best things ever. (Or if they do, they need to chillax.) I definitely found it easier to rec things once I started thinking about them not as "OMG y'all must see these amazing things, for they are indeed amazing" and more like "this thing is a thing I found amusing/ interesting/ pretty, and I'm linking you to it because y'all might not otherwise see it".

Keep rec'in'! And I'm opening your vidpost in another tab for later.

Aw! That's okay. There's space for all kinds of ridiculousness in fandom! ;D
