Apparently, the UK version of Vikings is edited differently, with more gore, more nudity, more scenes, more Athelstan (basically, more HBO). No fair *snifs*
Hopefully. We need more Athelstan. (Besides, now I really can't write anything for this - my inner completist can't handle writing when there's yet-to-be-watched canon. It's one thing to risk being jossed by next week's episode and that I manage just fine, but this? No. I mean, it apparently has plot (like resolving the did-they-or-didn't-they with Athelstan and Thyri in episode 8), so how can I write anything and risk contradicting canon? *pouts*)
Thing is, I'm beginning to wonder if this version ia also the one shown on HBO Nordic and would be available to me if I just paid for a month's subscription - except the only way to find out which version they're showing seems to be to get a subscription :-(

To sum up: damn the US and their puritanicalism.

Unless you can find someone who knows Vikings who have paid for HBO Nordic... Yeah, probably not likely.
Damn the US indeed :P

And I wouldn't wonder about what ifs - they always do seem to resolve things wrongly, when they decide to resolve them, don't they?

Excuse me, I have to go read examples of popular press coverage of interesting archaelogical finds, for inspiration.

What type of story requires that kind of inspiration? *is curious*
