Apparently, people in the future have no imagination

So, I'm watching Defiance, and I'm wondering: why is it that the future so often seems to have turned our current multitude of crass, rude and crude words into one or two - and usually that's a conveniently alien one (like Defiance's stacko) that won't offend the American censorship authorities? I mean, seriously? One swearword? That's it? No variation in offensiveness, no local variations, no interesting use of foreign languages, no nothing? Just one all-purpose expletive? How the hell do they manage?

Rent bortset fra det - og helt urelateret - så går jeg lidt og overvejer, om man burde melde sig ind i Fantastik.
