RL update

I have hot water! Yay!

What I don't have is half my kitchen. Not yay. At least it's the half I can live without - that is, I have my stove, owen, fridge. No dishwasher and no sink, but there's a sink in the bathroom, so. Oh, and no floor. Not really.

Anyway, they've put up a dehumidifier(?) machine and that needs to be there for at least a week. Sometime in the middle of next week they'll check to see if everything has dried enough - maybe it will, maybe it won't have. Only once they give the all-clear for that can I get the rest of my kitchen put back. So, yeah.

I am really, really hoping this will be done before the end of this month, 'cause I've invited my parents and sister to drop by on my birthday for cake and hygge, and frankly, half a kitchen just isn't hyggeligt.

Anyway, I have decided that the day I finally have a whole kitchen again will be the day I open the can of confit de canard I was tempted into buying a few weeks ago. Even if it's on a fast day. Because I will deserve it.

Hurrah for hot water, but boo for not having a floor and sink. Hopefully the dehumid works.

Oh, I expect it'll work - it's just a matter of time. But yeah, not having a kitchen sink is annoying - a bathroom sink is really not particularly suited for doing dishes :-(

I'm crossing my fingers too, but it won't be until the end of next week at the earliest and possibly later. Ah well. Hopefully I'll have a kitchen come november, we'll see what they say.
