Went to see Alexander.
It has its moments, but truth be told I think it would have been better if they had cut about an hour of the time and focused more on the people and less on the gore...

Hot men kissing? Alas, there is one kiss between two men (well, a couple on the cheek too, but they don´t count, as you never get the impression that they are supposed to be more than friendly) and the guy Alexander is kissing is not even Hephaistion, the supposed love of his life, just some eunuch he picks up in Babylon... All he ever does with Hephaistion is hug and have longing glances and talk (there are some devoted oaths and stuff, but come on, they could at least have let them have a single little tiny kiss). And there are men bellydancing and stuff - and lots and lots of eyeliner involved too...
Of course, Alexander seems to have a lot of things going on with a lot of people - Hephaistion and the eunuch Bagoas, his wife the barbarian Roxane (and I suspect that the fragile American minds are more hurt by her breasts being very visible in one scene than the fairly graphic combat scenes (complete with chariots with blades on the wheels cutting peoples legs off and elephants impaling people on their tusks) and there is something odd about his mother-son relationship with the snakeloving Olympia...
All in all, the movie is not great, but it has its moments - like when Alexander wages war against monkeys :-) It just feels drawn out at times, and sometimes what I suspect is supposed to be grand speeches manages to be just slightly off... (I suppose some people will go see it simply to see Colin Farrell´s naked ass...)
