And here we all are, at the end of all things. Well, okay, at the midseason finale.
Two things I want from this episode:
Athelstan
Absence of a cliffhanger. A hook for the second half of the season is fine, but I really don't have the patience for a cliffhanger at this point. The season hasn't been good enough for that, and if the time skip is really going to happen this episode. Well.
Right. Onwards into the breach.
Well, well, well - the Franks have been busy shipbuilders.
From the fury of the Northmen. Nice one.
Why are they so happy to push the enemies boat away? You're supposed to board and take the boat...
Dammit, Rollo, you really don't know how to handle people not following you blindly, do you?
Rollo has the emperor's heart - but Roland has his cock. Which will prevail? Apparently the heart. Damnmit - I liked Roland. Considering the deaths already this season - I suspect Hirst is gearing up to clear the board of players in preparation for the timeskip.
Why aren't they forming a proper shieldwaill? They've got the platforms - they could stand shoulder to shoulder, four or five man deep. Why not use it?
Gisla really needs to do something about that statue. It's broken - look, it's leaking.

Don't tell me Rollo just won.
So - time skip time? Jep, time skip.
Don't know where Ragnar is or are they hiding the wreck of him?
Well, Alex Høgh seems to be aiming for Ragnar's dialect. Or is it Floki's?
You know, they should have taken a second to introduce the adult boys - the only one I'm sure who is is Ivar.
How can you know it's real? Well, Floki, you could ask those merchants who were around selling slaves in the start of the season...
My, but Kattegat has grown.
Somebody needs to hug somebody before the end of this. And they didn't.
