That opening is amazing. I literally had to catch my breath after that one... it's simple and perfect. The first three lines tell us everything that we need to know and already know and don't know yet, I can't even put into words how amazing that opening is. It just fades into the story, so we don't have to read that difficult style for the rest of the fic but it's not a harsh jump from one to the other. I could go on forever about the opening and still you wouldn't be able to understand how gorgeous I think that is. AMAZING!! I enjoyed the rest of the fic too. *hugs and cuddles to angsty Jack* Let's not forget the actual content of the piece. :P
