Someone should write a bill, containing every expense Denmark and anyone and everyone in Denmark has because of the idiot's visit - everything from the price of keeping military planes in the air to all those poor policemen not getting their vacation to lost income for businesses that has to temporarily close due to their location to television licence being vasted on covering the visit to the Queen's window he is going to permanently ruin. Everything. And then, when he shows his ugly face, he should be presented with it - maybe that would keep him away.

Been considering going to a demonstration, but on the other hand, I suspect there is going to be trouble. Seven demonstrations are going to leave the police thinly spread, especially when they have to worry about visiting idiots of state as well, so...

Why, oh why does Bush get so much more security than every other visiting head of state who has ever been here? Why should he get more than, say, Clinton - who visited Denmark in 1997 - and people came and waved little Stars & Stripes and Dannebrogs at him, and liked him? Give me one good reason why we should treat one American president differently from another, because I don't see it.

Yeah, as if it isn't embarrassing enough that our government comes over all supportive of Asshat, he has to decide to visit us as well and people fuss about it as if he's the second coming of Christ... Yeuch.

[livejournal.com profile] perial and I are sincerely thinking about going to the protests in Aarhus, him in his tux, me in a formal, with a sign saying "We in Denmark welcome our new American overlords", and tagged with BillionairesForBush.com.

Well, part of me really wants to go to some protests - perhaps in Fredensborg, since that's not too far away. Problem is, though, that a considerable amount of the major roads in northern Sjælland are going to be blocked, because Bush is going to driving on one of them. Which means that we the poor people living in the general area are looking forward to serious traffic problems - and unless I am mistaken more-than-full trains. In other words, me going to a demonstration against Bush is unlikely because of Bush. I hate irony sometimes...
