Finally, finally, finally managed to finish my latest cross stitch - and a short check tells me that I have been working on this for literally the entire year. I picked the pattern on a whim, because the picture amused me a little, and halfway through it I almost stopped working on it, because I had grown a bit sick of it, but, anyway, somehow I've managed to finish it...

Oh, that's great! I love the image. I stitch too, although I'm making myself wait until after I finish the dissertation before I start another project.

Hi! First, let me say that I've been reading your stories pretty much from the first time I spotted 'Falling' on ff.net (lurker, sorry about that), and love them all. I'm sure you're sick of people begging, but if another cheer will help inspire more 'Falling,' *cheer*!

And here you do cross-stitch, too. I like the pattern--it's different and looks really good. I made the mistake of cross-stitching a Christmas stocking for my first nephew. Four nephews in, I'm really sick of it, I'd like to start something different. Have you ever checked out http://www.stitchability.co.uk/mirabilia_chart_designs_1.htm? Some of their mermaids are great.

WOW ! Really impressive. I would never been able to do such a thing !

Oh, but it's so easy to do. Mainly you have to count a lot and have a lot of patience - oh, and make sure to not leave too many blood-stains on the fabric the umpteenth time the point of the needle ends up in your finger... But seriously, it's easy - didn't even have any interesting stitches...

Not sick of it - let's just say that I seem to have developed a bit of a guilty conscience when it comes to "Falling..." - but I promise, I'm working on it. I just need to get through a storm, then I have a chapter. Hopefully...

And yes, I cross stitch. Have for quite some time. And some of those charts look very nice - but alas, I have little money to spend on charts these days. This monk fellow I found in a library book...

Makes me remember that I haven't done any cross-stitching in ages This is a lovely image. What are you planning to do with it?

Absolutely no idea. Which is not an unknown problem when I do cross-stitch.
