Dear USA
Dear various Muslim countries
Dear the rest of the world (before you start getting any ideas too)

Denmark has something known as freedom of speech and freedom of press.

Learn to live with it.

Sincerely
A Dane

Since I don't follow the news much, would you mind telling me what prompted your letter?

Well, partly it was the (by now no longer new) case of the newspaper Politiken printing some drawings of Muhammed and the Muslim world going crazy about it, demanding apoligies and I don't know what for a bit of satire - and of course the death threats towards some of the artists didn't exactly help either.

And well, then this weekend - you see, apparently there is a Kurdish television station located in Denmark, and this weekend, the US government asked the Danish government to close it, because they suspect it of having to do with terrorists. Apparently, the US are not aware of a small fact like the Danish government's absolute lack of right to just close down anything - I mean, they have yet to manage to shut down the Nazi radio station, despite trying, so what makes the US think they can just do this?
