My sense of humour is probably not as finely tuned as it could be:

Example a: I am not amused by Dolph. Sorry, but an ultra-fascistic blue hippo is not funny.

Example b: I was amused by the fact that the fireworks tent had a Jolly Roger. No good reason for my amusement, just struck me as absurd - or perhaps oddly appropriate.

See, it seriously needs work...

I think your sense of humour is just fine! And Jolly Rogers are always a good reason for amusement! :D Especially when it's just a little sloop and you steer a ship of the line. Ahem.
