Apparently, the high points of Danish culture include:

A building on the other side of the planet, a statue of a naked man, some flowery porcelain, a lamp, a movie about people behaving like idiots, the usual authors (seriously, the usual, not even going to mention them), an nice old tune with (mostly unknown) lyrics telling people to drink, well, champagne - and lots of it, the most horrible singer in Denmark (i.e. Povl Dissing)(which has convinced me that the canon people cannot be serious), a play about people making fun of a poor drunkard written by this fellow, some toys, a form of playgrounds, and (and I would really like to know how this can be considered Danish culture) Donald Duck... oh yeah, and some other stuff... It does not include any of the things Denmark has on the UNESCO World Heritage list (like, say, Kronborg) or an architect and designer like Arne Jacobsen.

Excuse me while I go and contemplate the time and money wasted on this... (don't get me wrong, some (well, most) of the stuff on the list is fine, but really, people knew most of this already, so why bother? Wait. It's because a culture minister can't build bridges to have his idiocy remembered by, so he does this instead, right? Typical politicians...)
