I like libraries. No, I nearly love libraries. I love the books and cds and dvds and computergames and all sorts of other things that they are willing to loan me for no money at all. I love the atmosphere - I mean, I´m getting an education directed at working in one of those places.

But sometimes, well, I don´t know. Like just yesterday I found my loanernumber blocked. Puzzling. I had no fines, no overdue books, no damaged returned books, nothing - why should they block me? I went down to talk with them today and the block was removed. It might possibly have been something to do with my e-mail-account having been unaccesible - except my e-mails are coming through fine from everywhere else, and the address library e-mails are coming from are not blocked, and my spam filter have never before been a problem.

The problem was fixed and I can loan and order books again, but I am left quite mystified - I never did find out why they blocked me in the first place...

Mystery solved?

Oh, I´m sure they will inspire me, and if not, well - I loaned The Talented Mr. Ripley too, and just bought Ultraviolet, so I doubt that I will be bored...
