Oooh..vampiric Johnny! *reads update....facepalm* Figures...why do they always seem to get rid of the cool baddies? Now it's sounding more like it's turning into some cheesy monster/horror flick instead of something better (or maybe it's the evil PR people trying to sidetrack us all!)

Damn, I hadn't seen that update. And yeah, it figures - I read the original book and liked that the vampires were like people really, not monsters, not saints, people. Besides, how do you have fellow survivors in a last-man-on-Earth story?

Yes, I've noticed quite a bit how Hollywood tends to like rewriting many of their literary adaptations...bit annoying really...
