There is no other god than God, and Vivienne McKee is Her prophet.

And that, by the way, is a pretty strong hint that yesterday I went to see this year's Crazy Christmas Cabaret (which has nothing to do with Christmas apart from the timing, really.) And I know that the vast majority of my flist does not even know what the CCC is, and truly, I am sorry for them. Because this year was a really good one - the best since the Dracula show (and better than last year, because honestly, that wasn't one of the best - apart from the gay transvestite Nazi colonel in exile. Him I enjoyed thoroughly).

Anyway, this year was a Lord of the Rings parody, except only part of the time. Part of the plot, you see, was that the actors wanted to do LotR, while Vivienne McKee wanted a King Arthur story. Which means that characters like Arrogant Viggo Mortensen, Ganddaft the grey (who was actually Dr. Van Helsingør from Elsinore, but nevermind that), Freako the hobbit and Legoklods the elf prince of Legoland appeared in the same story as Merlin, Lady Guinevere, one Baron Braveheart McBraggart and one Lady Likesalot. Confusing (especially with a really strange visit from the characters in Da Vinci Code - don't ask) and amusing, especially when Vivienne McKee as the King Arthur story's villain Mordreda found out the actors' plan and turned it against them, getting her hands on the ring.

Okay, so I am still squeeing about it. So sue me. Few things are half as good as a really good CCC. Besides, I suspect that Vivienne McKee might be a slash fangirl at heart. At least it wouldn't surprise me at all, having seen this one.

Now, if only they will be nice and make a pirate-themed show next year.
