Well, still not as good as the first, but it was certainly spectacular.

So, random thoughts - because my head is not really collected enough for more yet.
The rum was mostly gone (as pr. usual), people spent a lot of time betraying each other (as pr. usual), I still think Elizabeth is a bitch (as pr. usual).
OMG they killed Obie.
Random: why isn't there a viking pirate lord? And how did they get to Singapore, if they didn't already have a ship?
Poor, poor James. Well, at least he got a noble death *eye roll* Is it just me or does Elizabeth have a kiss of death. Seriously. Elizabeth kiss = death. Jack, James, chinese guy, Will. Anyway, James dying I can forgive - people in these movies seem to survive death half the time. I can't forgive the utter lack of screentime with both Jack and James in it.
Anyway, Jack. Oh Jack, you're back. Still not quite as smart and suave as in the first, but still, hardly any slapstick. You're clever again and quick on your feet, outthinking half the people and doing the right thing in the end. Mad as hatter, of course, but with those parents, who can blame him, and there is certainly plenty of him (and in various stages of undress, even...) Still, I can forgive a lot, as long as Jack is back. Not like the second movie, where he never did anything except run. (Do you think his brain is in the hat or something?) Though Jack? That compass in the last bit better be pointing at the Pearl, or else!
Sorry, I did not stay until after the credits. It seems to be a tradition that I miss the final scene. I guess I can live with that.

Now, sorry, but it's past midnight, I'm kind of tired and have to get up early in the morning. So goodnight. Go see the movie. It's entertaining and has a shipfull of Jack Sparrows in it (some of them with less than all his clothes on), among other positive things...

Sorry for the late reply, but due to term papers, I've only just now gone back to look at your post-AWE posts, since I only saw AWE the day before yesterday.

Did James ever get out of that uniform?
