25. It is illegal for a cab in the City of London to carry rabid dogs or corpses.
24. It is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament. I wonder how they punish that?
23. It is an act of treason to place a postage stamp bearing the British monarch upside down.

18. Royal Navy ships that enter the Port of London must provide a barrel of rum to the Constable of the Tower of London. Hmmm, so that's where Jack Sparrow has been since finding the Fountain of Youth. Drink up, me hearties!
17. In the UK, a pregnant woman can legally relieve herself anywhere she wants – even, if she so requests, in a policeman’s helmet. Poor policeman.

But more importantly, what about the hedgehog?
You know, looking at this list and various others, it strikes me that the weird laws in a place like the UK mostly seem to be old laws that somebody most have forgot to remove when they stopped having a point, while the US laws worry me, because several of them seem to be a little wtf no matter what time they might be from. I mean, why would you want to get fish drunk anyway?

I have a book written by a guy who traveled around the U.S. with one of his buddies, seeking to break as many stupid laws as possible. I still haven't read it. I should do so and post about the stupid laws.
Oh, and speaking of laws that seem a bit weird... the sale of sex toys is illegal in Mississippi.

Hmm. Supposedly in Texas it's illegal to own more than six dildoes. And in Indiana, if any person has a puppet show, wire dancing or tumbling act in the state of Indiana and receives money for it, they will be fined $3 under the Act to Prevent Certain Immoral Practices (which makes me pretty curious about what those might be), but what did you expect from a state where legally the value of pi is 3 and a man over the age of 18 may be arrested for statutory rape if the passenger in his car is not wearing her socks and shoes, and is under the age of 17... (all according to this website: http://www.dumblaws.com/index.php
Forgive me for saying so, but I suspect this kind of laws might be the reason why non-Americans sometimes suspect that Americans are more than a little crazy. Either that or it's the policians elected...
