I think I'll wait before having an actual opinion about LJ's new Russian mob/government/KGB owners. Until they actually do something, for better or worse (although I'm considering looking into this wordpress that people seem to be talking about lately). Although I am wondering if this owner change means that fandom should start looking at the Russian laws regarding copyright and fair use...

Anyway, anyone else who would love to see Johnny Depp in a ballet?

Who? What? Russian? I thought it was owned by Six Apart in San Francisco and they were responsible for the whole "flagging" nonsense. And now it's owned by Russians? I can't keep up with this. I don't know what's going on.

Edit: I just searched on Google and found out that it's "a Russian-focused Internet media company led by an American and British duo that has expanded LiveJournal's Russian business over the past year". Well, I hope they don't change it for the worse!
