I was reading some posts via metafandom, about strong women in science fiction television.
Unfortunately, Danish television has never really bothered with much in the way of science fiction, fantasy or pretty much anything that wasn't mostly realistic - just like Danish movies, really. And when they finally dabble, it's pretty much always stuff for children.
Strong women, on the other hand. I can't help but be amused by the fact that the most successfull Danish television series ever, bar absolutely none - Matador (1978-82) - well, that series is just brimming with strong women and weak men. It also amuses me that Danish television seems to have decided lately that police series should have strong female leads. But science fiction? Not so much. Ah well...
