Yesterday's local newspaper had this big article about the possibility of next year's Hamlet at Kronborg possibly being directed by Kenneth Brannagh and starring Jude Law, thus being the first big-star Hamlet since Brannagh himself played the main part in 1988, following in the foot prints of (among others) Laurence Olivier, Derek Jacobi and Richard Burton. In other words, it's about time.

But honestly, Jude Law isn't exactly my favourite actor. Personally, I'd much rather see the one people have been talking about with David Tennant. Of course, this year's Hamlet has yet to be announced - I wonder... probably not. Typical.

Ah well, mostly  I'm waiting for the day that either Johnny Depp or Jack Davenport realises that they simply have to play Hamlet in Elsinore - a girl can hope, can't she? And until then I'll just hope for a return visit by the Chinese Opera people, because it still annoys me that I didn't get to see more than 45 minutes of that version because of the rain...
