For once posting on a wednesday! Yay! Which has been lovely and sunny and warm, which was convenient, because they decided to do a fire drill this morning at work.
What I've recently finished reading
Adam Silvera: They Both Die in the End
At some point in the near future a service called Death-Cast calls people up just after midnight on the day they die. We never learn how or why, just that it is, as we follow a couple of teenage boys who meet over an app and decide to spend their last day together. It's well-written and intended for all the angst, but it never quite got there.
Maurice Leblanc: Arséne Lupin, gentlemantyv
These short stories were delightful. I need more. I need all the short stories.
What I've recently watched
24. Deadpool 2
While some of the humour is not quite what I usually find entertaining, I quite enjoyed this movie. I mean, it has Cable. And Domino is awesome. And the kid from Hunt for the Wilderpeople is getting typecast as a troubled teen with pyromaniac issues. (There is no post-credit scene, only mid-credit scenes. There is a song at the end of the credits, does that count?)
What I'm reading now
Karin Boye's Kallocain, Martin Jensen's Eske Litle: byfoged i Assens and Don Rosa's Hall of Fame vol. 7.
What I'm reading next
Possibly Liu Cixin's The Three-Body Problem
Total number of books and comics read this year: 97
