First of all, thank you for being willing to write a story just for me :-)

A few general things to start off with. I am primarily, though not exclusively, a slash fangirl. Also, I have a deep and abiding love for the well-done crossover. I like happy endings, plotty, twisty stories that has more than just porn, and I tend to get particularly attached to one or two characters in a fandom. Dark is good, but not the more - graphic - sort. Mpreg, furry, bestiality, chan, genderswitch, incest - not really my cup of tea. Sorry if that's your usual thing, but it's just not mine. Apart from that, feel free to look around - my livejournal's nearly complete unlocked, so.

Stieg Larsson - the Millennium series
Characters: Lisbeth Salander
Request: What I'd like to see would be a post-trilogy story about Lisbeth having to deal with whatever's left of Zalachenko's criminal organisation.

Okay, first of all, as you can see from my request, I'm kind of assuming that you've read all three books - I mean, I know the American publisher is a lazy bastard, but the English edition is out, so... Anyway.
Right. Lisbeth Salander is awesome. The books themselves are a bit slow to get into and occasionally get a bit caught up in drooling over computers that were probably outdated when the first book appeared in the Swedish bookstores, but nothing's perfect. And I know that she's a bit of a Mary Sue (although the actual author Gary Stu is, of course, Blomkvist and Millennium itself) and terribly unrealistic, but there is something deeply satisfying about that girl and her usual approach to solving problems (my favourite scene in the trilogy might very well be the Lisbeth vs. 2 rockers bit, which should tell you - well, something, I suppose). Anyway, my specified request involves Lisbeth encountering whatever's left of Zalachenko's organization - because I can't help but feel there have to be someone out there missing the guy and his mutant bastard son. I don't care if they come looking for her or vice versa, I don't care if she wipes them off the face of the Earth or sets herself up as the new boss, changing from Pippi Longstocking to Robin Hood. It's all good. Crossovers would be especially good :-) Also, a special request - and probably way too far out to hope for, but the thing it, I was slow getting around to trying these books out, mostly because when everybody in RL is squeeing about how good something is, generally it, well, isn't. So I was actually in the middle of the last book back when the whole Oh John Ringo No thing happened, in case you remember that. And the thing is, I have been left with a deep and abiding desire to read a crossover with Lisbeth Salander (and her tazer) meeting Mike Harmon - which is probably beyond unrealistic for a request, but I just thought I should mention it, anyway...

The Wire
Characters: Jimmy McNulty, Omar Little
Request: McNulty/Omar slash would be gratefully received - because the world needs it and rule 34 has disappointed me terribly, despite my best google-fu.

The Wire's actually an ecxeption to the rule, in that it's so full of awesome characters, that I can't really stop loving most of them. Lester, Prez, Kima, Carcetti. I mean, even the ones that start out seeming like idiots have a tendency to be at least a little awesome. But Omar and his gang-land Robin Hood and Jimmy with all his flaws are what I decided to request. And if slash is not your thing, well, just basic interacting is good - and plottiness is in general very very good. But seriously, all the characters in this series are so awesome and fucked-up that I just want more.

New Amsterdam
Characters: John Amsterdam
Request: I'd love to see a story that at least brings up the possibility that "the one" for John might be a male.

I liked this series. It wasn't great, but it was entertaining and it had potential that was left unexplored. But really, the reason for my request is that it annoyed me - a guy lives more than three centuries, searching for the one, and it is supposed to never have occured to him that it might be a guy - or at least it's never mentioned. Maybe back when there was just a bunch of ragtag colonies and sodomy was a capital offense, sure, but once the 20th and 21th century came around, it just strains my disbelief. And you don't have to write a slash story if that's not your thing, but I'd just like to see it raised as a possibility. Look into history - molly houses, Stonewall, AIDS epidemic starting, Prop 8, whatever. I don't care if he's chatting with a girlfriend after having seen Brokeback Mountain or carrying on a long and sordid affair with Captain Jack Harkness throughout the centuries (okay, so that would be kind of awesome - I mentioned the crossover thing, right?), I'd just like to see it addressed one way or the other. That's really all it would take to make me happy.

Anyway, I hope my requests aren't going to make you scream and go "but that girl's requests are the exact opposites of what I love about ...", because when all is said and done, I'll be grateful for whatever you write.

På forhånd tak og glædelig for-Jul. :-)

Bwahaha. I'm looking through Yuletide letters for interesting requests, and your New Amsterdam request is exactly the same as mine :D (And now I kinda want to see that long and sordid affair with Jack, too!)
