1. Statuesque
Lovely. Kind of reminds me of Harlequin Valentine, though...

2. Heroes season 2.
I find that I enjoy Heroes most when I just relax and don't try to guess whether any given character is going to be written as a bad guy or a good guy in a given episode...

3. The Day the Earth Stood Still
Someone please explain to me how you manage to make a first contact story - boring?

4. True Blood season 1.
It's amazing how much influence a simply change of perspective can have - for instance, the Sookie of the books I quite like, but this one. Sorry, she's the sort of perky blonde that leaves me distincly unmoved - though it's fun spotting behaviours that seem to be explainable by later books. And the supporting cast is great fun.

5. Kurenai no buta  (Porco Rosso)
Quite nice.

6. The Elephant Man
Not as engaging as I had hoped.

7. Gabriel
Oh, this is nice. Admittedly, the treatment of the female characters annoy me - I mean, one female angel and she gets de-angelized, raped and forced to be a prostitute and junkie? While the male angels just get killed... Still, Gabriel is one pretty angel - particularly with the blue eyes. And the ending is fun - imagine having fought your way through the demon bad guys to the main bad guy, because the main bad guy has killed your beloved brother - only, as it turns out, the main bad guy is your beloved brother, who sort of broke in the process of killing the original main bad guy, and he has actually been pulling strings and setting up his own allies, because he still loves you and all he wants is to hug you and have you for his co-ruler of purgatory (consort? queen?). And then you get a scene with the re-united brothers taking turns thrusting their big, hard rods into one another and afterwards lying next to each other, saying things like "I forgive you". (No, that isn't actually half as slashy as it sounds...) I wish I was more up-to-date on the details of the last couple of seasons of Supernatural, because tying them together would explain a few things - well, unless they've already been explained :-)

8. The Boat That Rocked
Oh, this is fun - the pirate radio hosts are fun, and I particularly liked Midnight Mark. On the other hand, I think Norrington would be a bit embarrassed by his pirate hunting look-a-like. Couldn't he at least have shown a little spine and sent a boat out?

9. Nine
Not the best I've seen, but a couple of good songs. Cinema Italiano :-)

10. Ginger Snaps
My quest for the decent movie werewolf continues - though it makes sense for some virus to twist the human body into something feral rather than an actual wolf, I suppose. Funny how the lycanthropy makes a girl prettier and a boy uglier (before the final stages, anyway)

11. Titan A.E.
Someone explain to me why some aliens aren't just going to show up and take Bob away from the humans? Seriously, letting a bunch of ragtag aliens who couldn't even protect their original planet keep such prime real estate? Are you kidding?
