24. Admiral
Quite good movie, even if the female lead left me more annoyed than anything. Apparently, I'm not the type to find it romantic or even particularly sympathetic for people to leave the people they married and the children just because they have a crush on someone... ah well...

25. Matrubhoomi - a nation without women
To be honest not that good a movie, but quite creepy - though the ending disappointed me. I wanted Kalki to pick up a knife in the end and kill her newborn daughter, it would have been a nice echo of the opening scene and it would have made sense, considering. Seriously, after all she's been through, how can she allow her daughter to live, knowing that she's at best going to have it just as bad and at worst...? Like I said, creepy.

26. Fringe season 1.
Plotwise, this is not much - kind of like X-files (not surprising), except the hero FBI agents are actually being helped by and slowly made a part of the conspiracy. Mostly I watch because Walter Bishop is quite possibly one of the finest mad scientists ever - emphasis on mad, for once, not just misunderstood or ahead of his time or dealing with lovecraftian, mindwarping things, but actually, honestly mad. Which is fun.

27. The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency season 1.
Mostly kind of feel-good - it's nice to see something set in Africa that isn't all about warlords and disasters and nasty stuff, but is actually offering a mostly optimistic worldview. Funny though, is it just me or does anyone else think the actress playing Mma Ramotswa comes across as, well, too young for the part?

28. Waltz with Bashir
Pretty dark and actually pretty good.

29. Supernatural season 4.
Yes, I am a year behind everybody else. Watch out, I'm gaining on you :-) Anyway, Castiel is awesome, check. Funny though, he gets one of the most awesome introductions ever, then apparently spends a number of episodes being less awesome - seriously, they introduce the guy as something huge and powerful and practically unbeatable, but every fight scene he has his ass handed to him by demons and angels and stuff. Still, awesome. *considers laying siege to 3+ in hopes of speeding up showing of next season*

30. Ben X
Very good movie about a teen with Asperger's Syndrome, seeing the world as a WoW-style computergame. Very good. And not just because of the blending of normal movie with game graphics.

31. Clash of the Titans
Well, there's one good thing about this movie - it tells you right from the word go that it's going to make a complete and total mess of the mythology. The "hero" is a whiny bastard, the movie can't seem to make up its mind as to whether the gods are good or evil, the Medusa part just made feel sorry for her, even the monsters (even the kraken) look like something they could have done better - honestly, the only awesome character was Mads Mikkelsen's (or maybe I'm partial).

32. Sicko
Not really sure why I watched this. Didn't actually tell me anything new, though it left me halfway wanting to movie to France.

33. Ponyo on the cliff
Why is the sea wizard person portrayed as a villain? I mean, it's not exactly an unreasonable thing to prefer that your five-year-old daughter doesn't run away from home, triggering potential world-ending magic and taking risks that could mean the end of her life, is it?
