35. The search for Sherlock Holmes
Interesting enough, though nothing actually new in it. Besides, the whole "Scotland Yard detectives weren't particularly smart" thing kind of got completely undermined by The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher, you know...

36. Pom poko
Very bittersweet, but also quite pretty - particularly the scenes where the tanuki display there powers at full force, like the monster parade. That bit was plain awesome. Hmmm, wonder if the Winchesters ever came across tanukis? Would probably be good for a laugh or two.

37. Castle season 2.
Might just have turned into a guilty pleasure - besides, I like that in this series, people are smart. What I mean is, there's not characters that need to get everything explained, nobody not keeping up, nobody not capable - in each their own way - of saving the day. Nobody's just there as a clown. I kind of like that. Also, Castle is just plain - well, cheesy on the outside :-) (Also, was just glancing at imdb's bits about season three episodes - apparently there's going to be steampunk :-) :-) :-) )

38. The day of the triffids
Manages not to leave as many questions as some movies (though why people apparently know so little about the triffids...) - and the whole disaster movie feel is well done. Though personally, I think people disappear to fast - where did the crowds go. Also, where the hell are the blind people? I mean, people who were blind all along? Come on, surely a kick-ass blind guy/girl/whatever wouldn't have been to much to ask?

39. The wolfman
Disappointing. Let's leave it at that.

40. Piger i trøjen
You know, it's amazing how many lewd jokes and how much innuendo you can miss, if you see a movie for the first time when you're young enough. Just saying. Anyway, actually, still loving this. It's about a young woman. Her father is extremely proud of the family's 12 generations worth of military officers and broken by her brother's choice to be a conscientious objector - so she joins the army, it having at the time recently allowed women to do so, in the process making friends and finding herself. It's actually pretty good, for a traditional folk comedy (a genre that has contained everything from westerns and giant monster movies to softcore porn, so... nevermind, not sure where I was going with that). I mean, it's got weak points, definitely, and Dirch Passer annoys me a bit in this (yes, yes, I know, sacrilege, I'll burn myself as a heretic as soon as I have posted this), his bits tend to feel too much like stand-alone gags and not a part of a story, but the movie itself? Quite fun.

41. Piger i trøjen 2.
And... not as fun. Mostly because the main character in this one - bored housewife turned military officer, keeping it secret from her husband - is too much of a mouse. And annoying. Not to mention the story about her husband finding out and their reconciliation - grrrr. Honestly, grrr. The best bit are the three woman soldiers that reappear from the first movie, particularly Martinsen. There's just something about a very pregnant woman being the perfect soldier, scaring all the other soldiers and even the officers, that's sort of awesome.
