I liked it. Helen kicking ass, James Watson being clever and figuring out she's from the future (and geeking out over her plastic cards and phone!), and Helen's going to have to take the slow path home, which is just fine (now if only she meets up with Tesla during his long absence and has adventures with him, I'll be happy). (I'm sorry there was no Tesla in this episode and actually even more sorry about the absence of Nigel, since at least Tesla can (and judging by one of the teasers will) show up in the present day episodes, but Nigel - well - probably not so much).

Mind you, I'm not sure I'm too thrilled about the Jack the Ripper/John Druitt/Spring-heeled Jack plotline. Are we supposed to understand that it was Spring-heeled Jack all along, that John really, really didn't do it? But that's never been implied before - John's always been the Ripper? Right? But if he wasn't - isn't - I mean, huh? Did she just change the future herself, being clever, or was it always this and they just never mentioned that "oh, by the way..."? Or? *is confused and not sure I got it*

Edit: And now I'm reading around and finding that apparently I'm just not up on various Victorian murders and it was a completely different set of murders going around later on. Or something. So, not a retcon. Alright then. On with the show.
