So, it's Yuletide again, and I will comment on my gift fics, my two lovely, lovely gifts, just as soon as I get around to stop staring at them in sheer amazement. Somebody (and I have my suspicions, actually) wrote me Matador fic.

Bad Company is an awesome fic about Iben and Jenny and their relationship through the years, with plenty of perspective to Danish history, and it is lovely.

Papirløst is also Iben and Jenny and focuses on the 1989 legalization in Denmark of registered partnerships and it's lovely. It's also in Danish, which probably means that it won't be the most ascessible Yuletide fic this year, but it is lovely and if you can, you really should go read it.

And I really should go comment on them. And I will. Just as soon as I can make myself stop staring.

Ooooh! I haven't reached the 'Matador' fic yet in my scanning of Yuletide, but how awesome! I'm thrilled you even got one in Danish :-D I'll read soon! (I wasn't sure how Yuletide would feel about non-English fic.)

Very awesome - and as for the Danish fic, I suppose that depends. Personally, I quite like it - though I suppose it really depends on the individual writer/recipient/canon combo. Admittedly, choosing to write a fic in a non-English language is probably going to mean writing a fic that's not going to get nearly as much love as some others, but then again, I doubt Matador fanfic in English is going to get that much more. No matter how much they deserve it...
