So, I just watched the last episode of House. Which, to be fair, that series should probably have been stopped a while back anyway. Like Supernatural, which I like, but I really find it annoying when stories aren't allowed to just get a graceful ending. On the other hand, I am sad that Sanctuary isn't getting a season five - mostly because it feels unfinished, the way it ended - again, graceful ending denied. (I mean, House ends well - it's obvious the episode is written as an ending and honestly? More series need that.) And I haven't even watched the last episode of this season of Almighty Johnsons yet, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for a season three anyway.
Speaking of tv series, I discovered they're doing a remake of Beauty and the Beast - and apparently Vincent is not only not played by Ron Perlman (I admit that is probably the least surprising part, though I'm still disappointed, because Perlman!Vincent is awesome), but is apparently played by some standard hot guy who gets to only occasionally Hulk out into a werelion due to military experiments gone bad, while Catherine is now a homicide detective and gets to be played by Kristin Kreuk. Frankly, I kind of expect to be underwhelmed...
And - I forgot where I was going with this...

That while some shows should have ended already, some others should not be made at all?

And yeah, House's final episode felt very much like a wrap-up, complete with the good guest stars and a nice structure they'd actually used with good results before. But I am so ready for Hugh Laurie to do different things now, OMG.
I hadn't heard about the Beauty and the Beast remake! Why would they do that! And yeah, making someone other than Ron Perlman play Vincent -- unthinkable! *g* Oh, Ron Perlman... I am trying to retain myself from saying ungracious things about Kreuk, but I'm just not sure she has the kind of spunk I think a Cathy should have... The worst part is, I am probably going to watch it anyway just to see how badly they've done :o/

Yeah, me too. I suspect myself of suffering from trainwreck syndrome or something... :-)
Sanctuary - well, there were questions unanswered and characters that kind of vanished, though I suppose the ending of season 4 can work as a decent series ending - except that season 4 itself never quite managed to get properly engaging, so it probably feels more dangling than it actually is. Or something. But I still want to know what happened to, well, everybody in the end. But that's how it goes sometimes (right, on to starting a lobbying campaign for getting Jonathon Young a guest part on Doctor Who as Nikola Tesla).

I definitely understand about a show feeling unfinished, but I wouldn't necessarily want it to tell me what happens to everybody in any great detail? I mean, I think that's why the House ending worked for me, because there was stuff left to imagine?

Actually, from what I've been reading about the new series, I am halfway convinced someone was developing a young adult targeted Hulk series when Mark Ruffalo and The Avengers got in the way, leading to a frenzied "quick, what old show can we twist beyond recognition to allow us to continue using these scripts". That's my theory and I am sticking to it.
