At the end of the movie, where did Loki's mind-control stick go? Natasha holds it when they are all gathered and Loki makes his "have that drink" quip, but when they fly off into hyperspace, they have the Tesseract and Thor is holding his hammer, and that's it. Where did the stick go? Or did I simply miss it?

where Loki isn't tied to something like a dog on a leash outside the Shawarma place,
Well, you never know - it's not like the Avengers are that good at keeping an eye on him in the face of distractions (Remember in Germany, how Steve, Tony and Thor are busily battling it out and Loki could have easily slipped away instead of settling down to watch? (and the fact that he didn't really should have raised more suspicion than it did)).

They really are bad at that *nod* Thank goodness Black Widow figures out most of his plan. Not that it helps, it still goes down, but anyway. Yeah.

Thing is - I'm not actually convinced that she does. It's just, Loki's expression when she starts talking about how his plan is the Hulk in the middle of his cheerful
banterthreatening strikes me more as a "Huh? What are you talking about, woman? Hey, where are you going, we were in the middle of something here?!" than a "oh no how did she guess my secret, brilliant plan", but maybe that's just me.Personally, I suspect the plan was not so much specifically the Hulk as the Avengers in general, the greatest heroes of Earth - and the most volatile mix to begin with, gathered close to the influence of his nasty stick, and then, when it has had a chance to make them all nice and angry at each other, along comes Hawkeye for a surprise attack.
Also, speeaking of mind control - I wonder if the control is directly Loki's, or if it - when Thanos comes along - will automatically pass to him. I mean, there's the other SHIELD scientist Loki snatched still unaccounted for and who knows what he's getting up to, and what he might be able to snatch away from SHIELD hands at an opportune moment.

Yeah, I'm sure it's only part of it that she figures, but I like that she does *G* Bruce is right, though, they are a mix that makes chaos - or are at first, until they get their collective act together.
I've seen speculation on that, also that Loki isn't evil because Thanos was controlling HIM. Now, I don't exactly buy that, but there is the question of what the glow-stick of destiny does when the tesseract is dimensions away and whether Thanos had any direct control over it in the first place or was just able to give Loki something that tapped into the tesseract. I guess we'll see, or I hope so, that they pick up on all these tantalizing little tid-bits for the next movie.

I actually made a point of noticing Loki's eye colour this time around, and they were the prettiest blue every time I got a proper chance to see them - sadly, one of those times was the post-smash asking for a drink scene, so if he was controlled, he'll need more than that to break free. Even more sadly, I can't for the life of me remember exactly what his eyecolour was in Thor - I mean, it was supposed to be green, right?, but I can't actually remember (I fear I shall have to suffer through yet another viewing of that movie, oh woe is me)...
Mind you, one point in the Thanos-in-ultimate-control theory's favour: did you notice Thanos' eye colour? Bright, bright blue. Exactly same shade as the mind-control-stick, if I remember correctly.

Good point about Thanos' eyes as well. Hm. HM! That would make Thor 2 very interesting indeed.
