What I should be doing:
Writing my Yuletide fic - well, at least I have an idea for it (and an iPad - any advice on the best way of approaching fic-writing on iPad, since that's one thing I really wanted to use it for? Do I have to invest in an app or will googledocs work fine or?)

What I'm actually doing:
Watching The Lizzie Bennet Diaries (being the last person on the internet so to do, I know). Playing silly games on my iPad. (At least I'm familiarizing myself with it, right?)

Writing on iPad:
1) Get a keyboard
2) Get an app like iA writer. It has dropbox and iCloud integration or you can just use native files. It's simple and because it's .txt only, it's very stable and runs well even over a 3G connection. If you're on wireless g-docs work too, but I found that it quickly got unstable for me and that's just so annoying. (YMMV, of course, and you can always test g-docs.) Oh, and iA Writer is free.

Yup, keyboard and an appropriate app. G Docs suck for iPad use. I use a combo of CleanWriter and DraftPad and I have SugarSync (free 6gb storage that syncs between various computers) to keep things safe.

I wouldn't recommend the ipad for heavy-duty writing at all, actually - it can be done, but it's not geared for it, and you're going to find yourself doing unergonomical things constantly.

Yay, Lizzie Bennet \o/ I'm watching the new episodes as they come out, but I still have a backlog of episodes ~20 through ~50 that I haven't seen. Think we should pimp it this weekend?

Aw, IDK so far the videos haven't really embarrassment squicked me? I think they handled episode 60 really well. (I think they're handling ALL the episodes really well!)

Honestly, I would be happy just to get to show them, like, episode 1.

Aw, I think I understand that.

Agreed! But I think 61 is too spoilery? There's a certain charm to not knowing HOW the major plot points will go down in this iteration.

Yesss, you need to catch up ASAP. Although then comes the point where you'll be pining for updates constantly, I guess :oS
