What I want for my birthday (2. november):

That the Americans vote against Bush.

That the amount of good Sparrington available increases by a considerable amount.

That I actually manage to post chapter 7. of "Falling..." before that date (you know how people use beta readers - well, I could use a beta typer - my own fault for writing a looooooong chapter in hand and then having to type it up (a beta typer wouldn´t really help me, though - my handwriting degenerates to abominable very quickly if I am not careful, and bumpy train rides does nothing to improve it)).

And probably some other stuff to, but hey, these three would be good :-)

I'd love to help you with No.1 if I could and wasn't living in bloody Germany. But I'll support you mentally, maybe thinking of Bush losing the election might help. *prepares for mind trick*
I could supply you with Sparrington fanfiction, but I don't know if you think it's good, so I guess this would be rather hard for me. But I'm trying.
And I usually type my fiction on my laptop anyway and don't make drafts because the only place where I could make drafts would be at school and there everybody's looking at me and expecting me to pay attention. I refuse to imagine the situation when my teachers actually see what I'm writing, take it to the front of the class and read it out loud. O__O

Sparrington fanfiction is usually good - surprisingly enough most of it seems to be, actually - or maybe I simply have wide tastes...

Writing in hand comes from not owning or being able to afford a laptop and having long train rides with nothing better to do (except occasionally reading a book).

Maybe your class would surprise you? Maybe we would end up with a whole German class of Sparrington addicts? + a teacher handing out assignments involving Sparrington. And... ;-)

I don't know about other Americans, but I did send in my absentee ballot, wherein I bubbled the little circle that had Kerry/Edwards next to it.

I would love to see that, too. I simply adore your story. I think you left off with Sparrow reading 'Midsummer's Night' to Norrington, and they were being all cuddly together.

I hope the seventh chapter won´t disappoint you - I am having a love / hate thing going on with it, with a bit too much of the hate, though that might simply be that I am tired of that chapter after having tried to finish it for the last several months (and the biggest problem is that it was finished inside of my head the whole time). Not so much cuddling in this chapter, though there is a bathtub and Jack trying to convince James to undress in front of him, sort of... and a few other things...

I understand the frustration with finishing fics. I have an Inspector Morse fic that has been in progress for four years. I want to finish it, but life keeps happening or I'm afraid of ruining it by hurrying.

Ah, now, see, begging and groveling and Jack and James are all good things, but at present I fear they would be more distracting than anything else. Now if I could look forward too them...

I must pray that this one of your birthday wish come true. I can't stand if Bush get to be president for another 4 long years. =_=

In fact I do wish all your birthday wishes come true - one can never get enough sparrington fics and when chapter 7 of "Falling..." comes out I'll surely grab whoever nears me and kiss him/her. LOL

Thanks - and I´m working on it (or typing on it to be precise), so I am hopeful about the third wish.
As for the first *shrug* - unfortunately that is up to the Americans alone to decide, but I am keeping my fingers crossed.
