On the positive side, it was nice seeing Charlie again and I liked her love interest (though really - Gilda the good fairy?) and Charlie just hanging out with Dean. I was a lot less thrilled about the villain being a nerd having serious issues telling fiction from reality (admittedly, SPN actually having magic doesn't exactly help, but still)...

)(/=(//)&¤&%%¤56!!! Bloody DW. Just ate my comment.

What I was trying to say that I think that the writers don't really understand fandom and the immense diversity in it. They try, but to me characterisation always comes out borderline offensive. This was one of the better eps, though, but now the lesbian label was slightly off, can't put a finger to what, exactly.

But I liked the episode, despite being... meh about the fandom episodes in general. I never really can't figure out whether they try to make fun and point fingers at fans or the opposite, but don't get it right.

Love Charlie so much, though.

Also, what is it with "Renaissance"? Seems to me it's used for anything more than, say two centuries old. Just because the country had few citizens before the European Renaissance it doesn't mean that Medieval times didn't exist. Renaissance, my ass.

Well, the fact that no one in the entire MoonDoor game had twigged to the fact that Charlie is a lesbian was just... weird. Seriously, not all male LARPers are that oblivious.

Heh, no they aren't, I agree. Having LARPed quite a bit, LARPers usually are clever people who have a firm grip around reality's balls. Hence the annoyance over SPNs recurring demeaning characterisation of fanboys of various sorts.
