On the positive side, other people have discovered The Almighty Johnsons. There's TAJ fanfic on AO3 not written by me. Yay!

Except - it's not so much The Almighty Johnsons people have discovered as it is Anders Johnson = Dean O'Gorman = Fili. Someone's even made a kinkmeme and something like 90% of the prompts and 99% of the fills are Anders. Oh, and as this is fandom, and TAJ is a canon were most of the male characters are closely related, well, I'm sure you can guess the outcome, right? And Anders isn't even that interesting...

And the worst part is, I feel like such a cliche complaining about it. *rolls eyes at self*

I've only seen the first season, and you are so right about Anders not being interesting. He fucks up, screws over everyone, and doesn't *learn*. Of course he winds up being a popular character because of cross-over from the actor's other roles.

Mostly he apparently gets to be the woobie... (Funny, though - Anders is annoying, but he is absent for about half the second season - the actor had commitments - and he's certainly missing in the dynamic enough to be missed by me).

You haven't watched season two? You should. It left me craving fanfic about the epic (and epically fucked up) love story of Mike and Colin and about Mike and George bonding and becoming bff bros in addition to my standing desire for anything Olaf. It's a good season. Go watch. Now.

I can't actually guess the outcome, because I remember too little of the show - are you complaining about incest fic? It does help to have an incest fic kink in those kinds of fandoms :)

Well, for most of season one the male character gallery consists of four brothers and their unusually youthful grandfather (and Zeb), and considering how fond of slash kinkmemes and fandom in general are - yeah, I'm complaining about incest fic. I mean, fortunately I don't have an incest squick (fortunately because in this fandom apparently the incest is so ubiquitous nobody even bothers to warn for it), just an incest meh, but still - variety is the spice of life, you know? I don't mind the incest stuff, I just wish there was, well, more of the non-incest stuff... *shrugs*
