Just watched Vikings episode three and, well, how to put this. You know that subtext? And the shipping it? Apparently, so does Ragnar. And I might have made a somewhat embarrasing noise somewhere in there. Ahem.
So, I'm falling for this show. It's has its faults (Kattegat? Uhm, surely you need to be further north for fjords and mountains like that?), but I like it. I like Ragnar Lothbrok. And I think I'll just steer clear off the fanfic for now, because if the show keeps this up, well. Though I find myself sort of wanting a story of the OT3, with Athelstan getting persuaded into a threeway relationship with Ragnar and Lagertha, with Ragnar having two wives, Lagertha having a husband and a wife and Athelstan having two husbands - because seriously, I would love something exploring the gender roles of Viking society. Though considering how the show's going...
