the new, long Agents of SHIELD trailer and Coulson lives. So, does that mean we'll have to swap the meaning of jossed and kripke'd now? :-)

Anyway, so far, I am sadly not really that excited about this show - the trailers don't really seem to have anything truly exiting in them, and frankly, I am already annoyed beforehand at hacker girl (I never particularly liked the normal-person-recruited-to-secret-organization-in-first-episode-of-show POV chracter thing - half the time they kick my embarrasment squick into overdrive. I never did warm to Gwen Cooper either. Ah well). Still, it's a Joss Whedon show and I like the MCU and does anybody else think this might potentially threaten GoT record as most illegally downloaded show?

BTW, who do we think the super is? Luke Cage, maybe?

I saw a/the(?) short trailer yesterday and actually got a bit excited, having been not at all excited, bordering on put-off.

I loathed the short with the couple who got recruited into SHIELD. Now I just put myself off the series again remembering them >:[

I realized I'm in a pissy mood for various reasons, and should not be commenting on things right now (and will stay away from trailer, too, for good measure) :)

Hah, I think jossing is still going to be a thing -- if nothing else I think we should keep it in the altered meaning of "character being killed off for maximum anguish" :P

I'm not super excited? But I just got a whole lot more excited seeing J. August Richards and what role he'll be playing -- gosh I hope they keep him around! I think hacker girl is a bit of a boring set-up, but I'm willing to forgive them. I take she'll be the 'consultant' I saw would be part of the team. She's got a bit of a Faith-thing going, I'm willing to forgive. Urgh, please let her not be a Gwen Cooper D: D: D:

But no I don't actually think Shield is going to come close to GoT -- GoT has tremendous cross-over effect (lots of mundanes and non-SFF fans are watching it), but I actually think Shield is in danger of being for a pretty narrow audience... And it's pretty clear by now that lots of Joss-fans aren't even feeling it much, so...

Ok, honestly I'm not super excited either. But if it is, as it looks, a bit like Whedon does Torchwood, I may just get there yet. I'm at least more than willing to give it a chance (or 11). I mean… so many reasons to watch! I think expectations are getting in my way here, or worries or something. IDK. I'll watch and decide then - makes no sense to do it now anyway.

Heh. Yeah, me too. Especially because I feel weirdly guilty when I suddenly don't live up to the tenets of completism.
