Hmmm. I really hope the show isn't going to continue with storylines seemingly intended to make people feel sorry for Anders - yeah, him and Gaia wasn't his fault, but, well. It's not so much a case of the boy who cried wolf as it's a case of the guy who has spent all the time since his 21st birthday using his mind control powers to be a walking talking date rape drug finally getting a taste of his own medicine (and with a girl whose boyfriend happens to be the god of berserkers).

Mostly, this episode, I felt so terribly sorry for Gaia. Last season she spent so much time worrying about loosing herself to either Frigg or Papatuanuku, and now Idun has come along and is dragging her around like a human sextoy. And Gaia has done nothing to even make it remotely close to deliciously ironic. I get why she'd choose to leave - though I am not sure England or Europe in general is the wisest choice, considering we know Europe has godhunters and with a name like Lindus, well, I suspect they started in England, around a certain island people who've watched Vikings might be familiar with. Just saying. (Maybe she'll meet the Doctor and get to travel even further?) In fairness, it should be Anders who should leave - but I get why she'd choose that.

One thing I don't get, though, is why nobody at any point even raise the possibility of removing either Bragi or Idun from the equation. Even if it had gotten shot down for some godly reason or other (the thing Ingrid said in the last season finale about Idun being "the constant goddess" would probably work). But to not even raise the possibility? They know they can do it, they did it with Ty, and so far, Gaia's godhood hasn't actually been any fun, so why not?
