So, LJ, if I remember correctly, is currently Russian, strictly speaking. At least Russian owned. Correct?

Russia has recently passed a ridiculous, dark ages "family values" anti gay propaganda law. Correct?

So, has anybody anywhere been giving thoughts to the possible consequences for what fandom is still hanging out at LJ if someone decides that slash is gay propaganda? Or if someone wants to shut down LJ for political anti-blog reasons and decides to use fandom and slash as the excuse? Has there been any such discussions and can you point me at them? I'm curious.

I haven't seen any, and I think that you are very right, that it should be discussed. Not that LJ cares, but fandom should be aware. I'll go consider how and where.

Exactly. I think half of fandom lives in ignorance and hasn't made the connection. I didn't.

Yes, I do. And if you by any chance know anyone who lives in the space shuttle, tell them to send us a greeting. It gives us 334 points. Now on with it... I need to find socks. 500. And make a quilt. :D

I don't know how you all still support LJ to begin with :/

ETA: People always misintepret this icon, thinking I'm saying LJ fandom taught me - no, gorram 6A/SUP taught me.
