It occurs to me that once the nominations are all in, somebody should really go over the yuletide list and make a post at scandafandom with the Scandinavian ones - to increase awareness among likely writers and all that.

Apart from that - so, this year we get 4 nominations and minimum 4 requests - how long do you think it'll be before the number of required requests exceed the number of permitted nominations?

That is a really good idea, and perhaps also ask who's joining. (Or is that a secret? I'm really bad with Yuletide rules.)

I've never heard it's supposed to be secret that you participate. You keep your recipient secret, which means it's generally a bad idea to talk about which fandom you're writing in in an open forum, but the mere fact of participation has never been secret, as far as I know.

No, I'm not, because deadlines gives me instant writers block and advent is a really busy time for me. But I'd love to if I had the time, most of the microscopic fandoms I participate in could have used attention like this. 8)

I love to follow it though and often read Yuletide-fic (part of the lover-of-microscopic-fandoms thingy. XD )

It's funny - I'm a bit the other way around, in that I function better with a deadline hanging over my head. And yeah, I'm playing - have my four nomnations all picked out and I'm just waiting for the process to start.

Aw, I often wish I could! But do post about it to Scandafandom. It'd be nice to see what the others are up to (I know about at least two others participating, probably more) and what one might look forward to! *lurking hard*

Well, nominations haven't even started yet. There's still time. I'm just planning ahead, it's what I do.
